Can I unpublish shifts or events?

Last updated November 19, 2025

Quick fix for accidental publishing (recommended)

If you published the wrong schedule:

  1. Duplicate the event - its status will be 'unpublished'
  2. Make your adjustments
  3. Publish again
  4. Delete the old (incorrect) event

This is the cleanest way to reset a shift without creating confusion for your team.

Other ways to correct published events

Edit events directly

You can update published events at any time — times, roles, assigned people, notes. Changes update instantly for everyone involved.

Overwrite using a week template

If an entire week needs to be replaced:

  1. Create a week template from the existing schedule
  2. Remove all shifts by going to More (top right corner) > Clear All Events
  3. Apply the week template you created in step 1, all events have the Unpublished status
  4. Make your adjustments
  5. Publish the week again

Common questions

Will my team receive new notifications if I make a change?

Only for the specific shifts they’re assigned to, not the entire week.

Can I remove someone from a published shift?

Yes. Unassign them from the event and save.

Can one person cover multiple roles within the same event?

No. Each member can have one role per event, but you can assign multiple people to an event to cover all required roles.

Will republishing delete anything?

No. Republishing only updates the changes you've made.
